Product description

The Bitaxe GT 801, also called the Gamma Turbo, is the two-chip version of the Bitaxe: two BM1370 ASICs on a 6-layer PCB deliver around 2.15 TH/s, about 65 percent more than a Bitaxe Gamma 601, at about 40 watts. That works out at roughly 18 J/TH, and the unit stays small enough for the living room. It runs the open AxeOS firmware: set pool, frequency and voltage yourself and watch hashrate and temperature on the removable 0.91" OLED or in the web dashboard. You do not need a manufacturer account. Set up over WiFi in minutes. Ships within 24 hours.

The Bitaxe GT is for anyone who wants more hashrate for solo mining than a single Bitaxe offers, without giving up open, repairable hardware or a compact form factor. On efficiency it trails the Bitaxe Gamma 601 (around 13 J/TH); in return it packs about 65 percent more hashrate into the same small format. The BM1370 is the same chip used in large industrial miners, here in a device you control yourself. Good airflow keeps the chips cool and the clock steady.

Which parts of this miner are open, and under which licence, is listed in our overview of open-source Bitcoin miners.

Frequently asked questions about Bitaxe GT 801 | 2.15 TH/s

How is the Bitaxe GT different from a normal Bitaxe Gamma?
The GT has two BM1370 ASICs instead of one: around 2.15 TH/s instead of 1.3 TH/s, at about 40 watts. Same open AxeOS firmware, same compact format.
How efficient is the Bitaxe GT?
Around 18 J/TH. The Bitaxe Gamma 601 (around 13 J/TH) and the Nerdaxe Gaia (around 10 J/TH) use less power per TH/s; the GT gives you about 65 percent more hashrate than a Gamma in the same compact format.
Is it good for solo mining?
Yes. About 65 percent more hashrate than a Bitaxe Gamma means about 65 percent more attempts per block, at around 40 watts. It does not guarantee a hit.

Why buy from Open Source Miners?

We don't sell anything we don't run ourselves: our own fleet mines around the clock on the exact hardware in this shop.

Open firmware instead of a black box

Bitaxe, Nerdaxe and NerdQaxe are open-source Bitcoin miners: the Bitaxe runs AxeOS, the Nerdaxe family runs NerdOS, a fork of it. Every setting is visible, and clock and voltage are yours to set. Flash firmware updates in minutes with our free web flasher, right in the browser and without extra software.

In stock in the EU, shipped within 24 hours

Every miner marked as available is in stock and ships within 24 hours with tracking, with no customs fees and no import-VAT surprises. Shop availability is always up to date; if something sells out, the restock alert notifies you first.

Support from miners, for miners

We run Bitaxe and NerdQaxe miners around the clock ourselves. Questions about solo mining, pool setup, WiFi or cooling are answered by someone who has the same device on their own desk. In English or German.

Bitcoin only, and you can pay with it

Our miners only compute SHA-256 for Bitcoin. We carry no altcoin miners and make no "cloud mining" promises. Pay by Lightning or on-chain, by card or PayPal, as a guest without an account.
