The Avalon Nano 3S is the easy way into Bitcoin mining at home: around 6 TH/s from twelve Canaan A3197 ASICs at about 140 watts, in a compact, living-room-friendly case. At roughly 29 to 36 dB depending on power mode it runs pleasantly quiet and connects to your home network via WiFi or LAN. Setup is done through a simple web interface: enter your pool and Bitcoin address and you are done, no cloud needed. Plug & play for anyone who wants to start without tinkering. Ships within 24 hours.

Unlike a Bitaxe, the Avalon Nano 3S is not open-source hardware: it runs Canaan firmware. In return it is a ready-to-run all-in-one miner with significantly more hashrate than a single Bitaxe, good as an easy start or an addition. The ~140 watts of waste heat warm the room on the side. If you want open firmware and tuning, a Bitaxe suits you better; if you just want to plug in and go, the Avalon Nano 3S does.
